Best all-in-one dev platform
Tried GitHub and Bitbucket before landing on GitLab, and honestly, GitLab just fits better for our whole workflow. The integrated CI/CD pipelines save me a ton of time compared to setting things up separately on GitHub, and Bitbucket’s interface always felt a bit clunky for larger projects. One thing I love about GitLab is how everything from issue tracking to deployment feels like part of one seamless tool, which makes managing the team smoother. The only small gripe is that sometimes the interface can be a little overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back.

Solved Our Merge Conflict Mess
Our team was constantly tripping over merge conflicts and unclear code reviews until we switched to GitLab. The integrated CI/CD pipelines and merge request approvals made collaboration way smoother and caught errors early.

Solid tool for team collaboration
Our team of about 12 developers started using GitLab a few months ago after management pushed for a centralized platform. Getting everyone on board wasn't too rough since the interface is fairly intuitive, though some folks took a bit longer to get used to the CI/CD pipelines. The collaboration features have really helped us catch issues earlier, especially with merge requests and inline comments. Overall, it’s boosted transparency and made coordination smoother, even if the setup can feel a bit overwhelming at first.

Seamless all-in-one workflow
Switched from Bitbucket to GitLab after running into limitations with pipeline customization and merge request flexibility. Compared it briefly to GitHub, but GitLab’s integrated CI/CD and issue tracking in one place really won me over for managing everything without juggling multiple tools. The interface feels cleaner and the permissions setup is more straightforward in my experience, which saved the team a lot of time. Overall, it just fits our workflow better and hasn’t let us down so far.

Smooth team collaboration
Our team of about 10 switched to GitLab last year, and it really smoothed out how we collaborate on code. Getting everyone to adopt it took some nudging, but once we did, merging and reviewing became way easier.

Frustrating and buggy experience
Setup was a pain and the UI feels clunky, not really worth the hype. Kept running into weird bugs that slowed me down.

CI/CD and interface win
Switched from GitHub and Bitbucket and honestly, GitLab just clicks better for our team. The built-in CI/CD saved us a ton of time setting up separate pipelines elsewhere, and the interface feels less cluttered. There was a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back.

Great for team collaboration
Our team of 8 switched over last year and it really helped with keeping everyone on the same page, especially when merging code. Getting everyone to fully adopt it took a few weeks, mostly cause some folks were used to other tools, but now it’s part of our daily workflow.

Improves with every update
Started using GitLab about 6 years ago and it’s seriously gotten smoother and more intuitive over time. The CI/CD features have become a real lifesaver for our team, though sometimes the interface can feel a bit clunky on smaller screens.

Smooth and quick setup
Getting GitLab up and running was way easier than I expected. The onboarding was straightforward and I had my main projects imported within an hour. Took a bit to figure out some of the advanced features, but overall the learning curve wasn’t too steep.
