Setup was frustratingly slow
Getting Pendo up and running was way more of a headache than I expected. The onboarding materials were kinda scattered and unclear, which made the whole setup drag on for days instead of hours. Definitely not the smoothest start and the learning curve felt steeper than it needed to be.

Helpful but inconsistent over time
Started using this about three years ago and have seen some useful updates, but lately it feels like the interface is getting more complicated without much improvement in reliability. The analytics are decent when they work, but occasional glitches and slower customer support have been frustrating. Overall, it’s a mixed bag after all this time.

Great messaging, clunky analytics
The in-app messaging feature really helped us communicate with users right when they needed it, which was exactly what we needed. On the other hand, the analytics dashboard feels a bit clunky and not very intuitive, making it harder to extract meaningful insights quickly. I wish they put more effort into streamlining that part. Overall, it’s useful but with some frustrating rough edges.

Great for team collaboration
Our team of about 12 started using Pendo a few months ago to track feature adoption and user feedback. Getting everyone to actually use it took some nudging, but now it really helps keep us aligned and improves how we collaborate on product decisions.

Good onboarding, slow analytics
The onboarding guides feature is exactly what we needed to help new users get up to speed quickly, and it’s pretty straightforward to set up. However, the analytics dashboard feels a bit clunky and sometimes takes forever to load, which gets frustrating when you're trying to dig into user data fast.

Great guides, clunky dashboard
The in-app guides are exactly what we needed to onboard users smoothly, but the analytics dashboard can be a bit overwhelming to navigate at first.

Great messaging, complex analytics
The in-app messaging is exactly what we needed to engage users without being intrusive. The analytics dashboard is helpful but sometimes feels a bit overwhelming to navigate.

Great onboarding and analytics
Tried Mixpanel and Amplitude before landing on Pendo, mainly because its onboarding tools felt way easier to customize without needing a ton of coding. The analytics are solid, though sometimes the UI can feel a bit clunky when digging into reports. Overall, it struck a good balance between usability and depth for our team's needs.

Great for team insights
Our team of about 10 started using Pendo a few months ago to get better insights on user behavior and improve onboarding. Getting everyone on board took a bit longer than expected since some folks were hesitant to switch from older tools, but once the whole department switched to it, collaboration improved noticeably. The dashboards make it easier to track feature adoption, which helped us prioritize bug fixes and new features. Only downside is that the initial setup was a bit clunky, but once it’s running, it’s been a solid addition to our workflow.

In-app messaging needs work
The in-app messaging feature seemed like a good idea at first, but it ended up being pretty buggy and often failed to trigger for the right users. On the other hand, the analytics dashboard feels cluttered and isn’t very intuitive, which made it hard to find the insights we actually needed. I also ran into delays in data updating, which hurt the timing of our decisions. Overall, it has potential but right now it feels like it needs a lot of polish before it's reliable for serious use.
