Cohorts and Segmentation Shine

The behavioral cohort feature in Amplitude has been a game changer for understanding user retention on a deeper level. Setting up cohorts based on real user actions feels intuitive, and the data updates quickly enough to make timely decisions. I also really appreciate the event segmentation tool; it’s straightforward to slice and dice data without getting lost in complicated settings. Overall, these features give me exactly the insights I need without overcomplicating things.

Best for deep user insights

I tried Mixpanel and Heap before landing on Amplitude, and honestly, this one just fit our needs way better. The user interface is clean and pretty intuitive, so getting insights without pulling my hair out was a relief. Also, the way Amplitude handles cohort analysis and funnels felt more flexible compared to the others, which made our growth team happy. Only minor gripe is that the mobile analytics can be a bit slow sometimes, but it’s not a dealbreaker for us.

Worth the investment

Intuitive and Powerful Analytics

Switched from Mixpanel after struggling with their confusing interface and found Amplitude much more intuitive, especially when setting up user funnels. I also compared it with Heap, but Amplitude's event tracking and analysis tools felt more robust and offered deeper insights without needing to write extra code. The way Amplitude handles cohort analysis saved me a ton of time on segmentation, which was a big win for our team. Overall, it's made understanding user behavior way easier and faster, which helps us make smarter product decisions.

Smooth setup with minor learning curve

Getting Amplitude up and running was surprisingly smooth—I had basic tracking implemented within a couple of hours. The onboarding materials were clear, though diving deeper into advanced features took a bit more time to figure out.

Great tool for team insights

Our team of about 12 people relies on Amplitude to track product usage and understand customer behavior better. Getting everyone on board was surprisingly smooth, partly because our manager pushed for it and made it clear it’d replace some clunkier tools we’d been using. Collaboration improved since we could all see the same data in real time and discuss insights directly in the platform. The only minor hiccup was the initial learning curve for a couple of folks who aren’t very data-savvy, but overall it’s been a huge help for us.

Seamless team adoption

Frustrating and slow experience

Honestly, I was expecting way more from Amplitude but it just felt clunky and confusing to me. The interface isn’t very user-friendly and I spent way too much time trying to figure out basic stuff. On top of that, it kept glitching or loading really slowly which got super annoying. Definitely not the smooth experience I hoped for.

Keeps Improving Over Time
