Reliable with Room to Grow
Started using this about six years ago and it’s definitely improved in speed and features. Collaboration tools have gotten smoother, though sometimes the interface can feel a bit cluttered.

Worth the investment overall
GitHub's pricing feels fair given the features you get, especially for small to mid-sized teams. The free tier is surprisingly generous, but when you upgrade, the additional tools for collaboration and security really boost productivity, making the cost worthwhile. I found that even though it’s not the cheapest option out there, the time saved on code reviews and issue tracking more than justifies the expense. Overall, it’s a solid investment if you’re serious about managing projects efficiently.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Getting started with GitHub was smoother than I expected. The onboarding guides are clear, and I had a basic repo set up within minutes without much hassle. There’s a slight learning curve when it comes to understanding branching and pull requests if you’re new to version control, but the platform’s interface helps ease that transition. Overall, it felt like a straightforward process that didn’t slow me down at all.

Good PR reviews, clunky issues
The pull request review system is really helpful for catching issues before merging, and the inline comments make collaboration smooth. However, I find the issue tracker a bit clunky when managing larger projects—it can get overwhelming fast.

Best for community and integrations
Tried GitLab and Bitbucket before settling on GitHub, mostly because the community and third-party integrations felt way stronger here. Sometimes the interface can be a bit overwhelming with all the features, but overall it’s smooth and reliable for managing code. Wish the notifications were a bit easier to customize though.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Getting set up with GitHub was surprisingly quick—I had my first repo running in about 15 minutes without too much hassle. The onboarding tutorials helped a lot, though some parts of the interface took me a bit to figure out. Overall, pretty smooth for a tool this powerful.

Setup was a nightmare
Getting set up was a total headache. The onboarding was confusing and it took way longer than it should have just to figure out the basics.

Quick and smooth setup
Getting set up on GitHub was surprisingly quick—I had repos running and pushing code within about 15 minutes. The onboarding guides helped, but I did hit a small snag with SSH keys at first which slowed me down a bit.

Mixed feelings on setup
Getting set up on GitHub was a bit of a mixed bag. Creating a repo and pushing code was quick and painless, but figuring out some of the more advanced settings took a while and wasn’t very intuitive. The onboarding helped but didn’t cover everything I needed right away.
