Good dashboard, painful setup
We were drowning in unorganized metrics from multiple sources and hoped Grafana would bring some clarity. It did help consolidate data into one dashboard, which was a relief, but getting it all to display correctly was a nightmare with constant query errors and confusing setup. The alerting system also felt half-baked for our needs, often missing critical issues or spamming false alarms. Overall, it helped a bit but didn’t really solve the core problem of reliable, easy monitoring like I expected.

Great for team collaboration
Our team of about 10 started using Grafana when our boss pushed for better visibility on system metrics. Getting everyone on board was surprisingly smooth since the dashboards are pretty intuitive and easy to customize, even for folks who aren’t super technical. We’ve definitely seen better collaboration because now everyone can jump in and add notes or adjust views based on what they need, which has cut down on back-and-forth emails a lot. The only small annoyance is that sometimes plugins can be a bit finicky during updates, but overall it’s been a solid upgrade for our workflow.

Getting Grafana up and running was smoother than I expected. Solid and improving over time
Been with Grafana for about 4 years now, and it’s definitely gotten smoother and more reliable over time. Early on, I struggled a bit with some of the setup quirks, but the frequent updates have made the UI more intuitive and the integrations way better.
