Great issue tracking, complex reports
The issue tracking system in Jira really helps keep our team organized and on the same page, especially with all the custom workflows. The reporting tools are useful but can be a bit overwhelming at times, making it harder to get quick insights without digging through menus.

Solid project tracker
Jira’s been solid for keeping track of all our project stuff. I like how flexible it is with custom workflows, though sometimes it can feel a bit clunky navigating through all the menus. The notifications help me stay on top of what’s urgent, which is super handy. Overall, it’s reliable and gets the job done without much fuss.

Too complex for our needs
I tried Jira after using Trello and Asana for project management, hoping for something more robust, but honestly it felt way more complicated than it needed to be. The interface is cluttered and unintuitive, which slowed down the team instead of helping us move faster. Trello’s simplicity and Asana’s clear task flows were easier to navigate, especially for less technical team members. Jira might work better for large engineering teams, but for us, it just added unnecessary headaches.

Useful but clunky over time
Started using this tool about 6 years ago and while it's added useful features over time, it sometimes feels cluttered and slows down my workflow more than helps.

Robust tool for dev teams
Switched from Trello to Jira on a project that needed more complex task tracking and issue management. Trello felt too simple for our dev team's needs, and while Asana was nice for broader project management, Jira's integration with our code repos and detailed workflow customization won me over. The interface can feel a bit clunky at times, and it takes a while to set things up properly, but once you're past that, it really handles sprint planning and bug tracking like a champ. Definitely a solid choice if you want something robust without jumping into something overly complicated like Azure DevOps.

Good tracking, clunky interface
The issue tracking feature in Jira really helps keep things organized and easy to follow, especially with custom workflows. However, the interface feels cluttered to me and sometimes slows down when switching between boards, which can be frustrating during busy days.

Mixed feelings on setup
Getting Jira set up was kinda hit or miss. On one hand, the initial onboarding was smooth enough and I had a basic project running within an hour. But once we tried to customize workflows and permissions, things got complicated quick and the learning curve felt steeper than expected. Definitely not impossible, but it took way more time fiddling around than I originally planned.

Decent but kinda complicated
Jira does the job but can get kinda confusing with all the menus and stuff. Not the easiest to pick up quick, but once you get used to it, it’s alright.

Steady improvements over time
After nearly five years with Jira, I've noticed steady improvements that make managing projects smoother. The interface has become more intuitive, and new features genuinely help keep our team on track without too much hassle.

Steady improvements over time
Started using Jira about six years ago, and I’ve seen it steadily improve in terms of usability and features. What I appreciate most is how the reporting tools have gotten more intuitive, making it easier to track progress without jumping through hoops. Sometimes the interface can feel a bit clunky, especially when managing complex projects, but overall it’s become more stable and flexible over time. It’s definitely been worth sticking with for managing our workflows day to day.
