Flexible and powerful BI tool
Looker really stood out compared to Tableau and Power BI, mainly because of its seamless integration with our data warehouse and the flexibility in creating custom data models. We initially tried Tableau, but found it more limiting when handling complex SQL queries, and Power BI didn’t offer the same level of data governance for our team. Looker’s interface took a bit to get used to, but once we got the hang of it, building dashboards became a lot more straightforward. The ability to centralize data definitions has saved us time and reduced confusion across departments.

Worth the investment
Looker is definitely an investment, but the insights we've gained have more than justified the cost. The pricing felt steep at first, but the ROI showed up quickly in smarter decision-making and saved time.

Worth the investment
Looker isn’t cheap, but for the insights we get, it’s been totally worth the cost. The setup took some time, but once running, it helped us make decisions that clearly improved our bottom line. For small teams, the price might feel steep, but the way it streamlined our data workflow made the investment pay off quickly. Definitely a solid value if you use it to its full potential.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Getting Looker up and running was surprisingly smooth. The onboarding walked me through the basics well, and I had a decent grasp of the setup within a couple of hours. There’s a bit of a learning curve with more advanced features, but starting out was definitely straightforward.

Solid but UI quirks
Looker’s pretty solid for digging into data, tho the UI can get a bit clunky sometimes. Saved me a lot of time setting up reports tho, so not complainin'.

Solid choice for data modeling
We initially tried Tableau and Power BI, but Looker's approach to data modeling and its integration with SQL made it easier for our team to create consistent reports without needing to jump between tools. The learning curve was a bit steep at first, especially around LookML, but once we got the hang of it, the flexibility really stood out. I also appreciate how it handles real-time data updates better than the others we tested. Overall, it fits well with our existing workflows and gives us the control we wanted without too much setup hassle.

Reliable and improving steadily
Started using Looker about five years ago, and I’ve honestly seen it improve in ways that make my daily work smoother. The interface feels more intuitive now, and their support for custom dashboards has gotten way better over time. What I appreciate most is how it’s handled complex datasets without slowing down, which was a concern early on. It’s become a real backbone for our analytics team, and I don’t see myself switching anytime soon.

Streamlined data modeling wins
Tried Tableau and Power BI before settling on Looker, and what really stood out was how seamlessly Looker connects directly to our database without clunky exports. The modeling layer made it way easier to create reusable metrics across teams, which saved us a ton of time compared to rebuilding the same calculations in Tableau. It’s not the cheapest, but for the level of control and collaboration it offers, it’s been worth every penny.

Solid tool that keeps improving
After using Looker for about three years, I've seen it improve noticeably in terms of speed and usability. The interface has become more intuitive, making it easier to build reports without needing to rely on engineering as much. I appreciate how they keep adding useful features while maintaining flexibility for complex data needs. That said, sometimes the learning curve for new team members can still be a bit steep.

Great modeling, UI needs polish
The data modeling feature in Looker is really flexible and saved us a ton of time setting up dashboards. Love how easy it is to share reports, but sometimes the UI feels a bit clunky when digging into complex queries.
