Great social login and flexibility

The social login integration is exactly what we needed for quick user onboarding, and it worked seamlessly from day one. I also really appreciate the customizable rules feature, which gave us the flexibility to tailor authentication flows, though the documentation around it could be clearer.

Overpriced and underwhelming

Auth0 charges way too much for what you actually get. The pricing quickly spirals out of control, and I didn’t see a return that justified the cost.

Flexible and user-friendly auth

Tried Firebase Authentication and Okta before, but settled on Auth0 because it offered more flexibility with social logins and custom rules. The UI is straightforward, though sometimes the pricing can get a bit confusing as you scale.

Simplified multi-platform logins

We were struggling with managing multiple user logins across different platforms, which was turning into a nightmare. Auth0 made it way easier to unify our authentication process, especially with social logins and multi-factor auth, and the setup wasn’t as painful as I expected. There was a bit of a learning curve with customizing rules, but overall it solved our issue pretty well.

Worth the investment

Auth0 costs a bit more than some alternatives, but for what it saves me in time and headaches, it's been worth it. The pricing can feel steep for smaller teams, but the ROI has been solid for us overall.

Setup was unnecessarily complex

Setting up Auth0 was way more complicated than I expected. The onboarding docs were confusing and didn’t really cover some of the issues I ran into, which slowed me down a lot. It took me a couple of days just to get a basic implementation working, mostly because of unclear instructions around callbacks and token management. Definitely not the smoothest start for someone who isn’t a security expert.

Great Social Login Feature

The social login integration is exactly what we needed to streamline user sign-ups, and it worked seamlessly with minimal setup. The dashboard for managing users is intuitive but could use better filtering options when dealing with large user bases.

Smooth integration for teams

Our team of about 8 switched to Auth0 last year and after some initial confusion getting everyone set up, it really smoothed out our login issues across projects. The devs appreciated how easy it was to integrate, though the docs sometimes felt a bit scattered.

Flexible and reliable auth solution

Tried Okta and Firebase Authentication before settling on Auth0, and honestly, Auth0 strikes the best balance for our needs. The setup was straightforward, and their rules engine gave us the flexibility that Okta lacked without being as limited as Firebase. Sometimes the dashboard UI feels a bit clunky, but overall it's solid and reliable for handling multi-tenant apps. Glad we made the switch because their support has been pretty responsive too.

Reliable and evolving auth solution

Started using Auth0 about five years ago with a small project, and it’s been a reliable part of our stack ever since. Over time, their platform has definitely improved, adding features and tightening security without making things more complicated on our end. The dashboard and documentation have become much easier to navigate, which is a relief when onboarding new team members. That said, sometimes the pricing can feel a bit steep as you scale up, but overall it’s been worth it for the peace of mind and flexibility.
