Smooth team collaboration boost

Our team of about 12 switched to GitLab last year after the boss pushed for a better way to handle merge requests and CI. Getting everyone on board took a couple weeks because some folks found the interface a bit confusing at first, but once they got used to it, collaboration really improved. We especially like how easy it is to review code and track issues all in one place without bouncing between tools. The only minor gripe is that sometimes the pipeline status updates lag a bit, but overall it's made our workflow smoother.

Smooth setup with minor quirks

Getting GitLab up and running was pretty smooth overall. The onboarding guides were clear enough that I had a basic instance working in under an hour, though some of the advanced features took a bit of digging to figure out. Definitely not a nightmare, but there’s a slight learning curve if you want to make full use of it.

Really love how smooth it is

Honestly surprised how smooth GitLab is for managing all my projects. The interface is clean enough that I don’t get lost, and the CI/CD stuff just works without me having to tinker endlessly. Had a tiny hiccup with merge conflicts once, but nothing too crazy. Definitely makes coding with my team way less stressful.

Steady improvement over years

Been with them since about 2016 and it’s crazy how much smoother and feature-rich GitLab has become. What started as just a basic repo hosting tool now feels like a full dev platform that actually helps streamline my workflow. Sometimes the UI can feel a bit cluttered, but overall it just keeps getting better every year.

Reliable and improving steadily

Started using GitLab about 4 years ago and it's come a long way since then. The interface has gotten a lot cleaner and the CI/CD features have improved noticeably, making my workflow smoother. Sometimes it does get a bit slow with larger repos, but overall it's been a solid tool for managing projects.

Reliable and improving constantly

Been with GitLab for over 5 years now, and it's honestly come a long way since I started. The interface feels smoother and the integration with CI/CD pipelines just keeps getting better. Sometimes the updates throw me off for a bit, but overall it’s made managing projects way easier.

Super handy for projects

GitLab's been a lifesaver for keeping all my code and projects organized. The CI/CD stuff is super handy and honestly way easier than I thought it'd be. Only thing is the UI can feel a bit cluttered sometimes, but no biggie.

Great for code reviews and CI/CD

The merge request feature is exactly what we needed to keep our code reviews organized and efficient. I also really appreciate the built-in CI/CD pipelines, which have saved us a lot of time, though sometimes the pipeline configuration can be a bit tricky to get right at first.

Solved our merge chaos

We were drowning in messy merge conflicts and unclear code reviews until we started using GitLab’s integrated CI/CD and merge request features. It helped us catch issues early and keep everyone on the same page, especially with automated pipelines that run tests every push. Still wish the UI was a bit snappier, but overall it made collaboration way smoother.

Solid for team collaboration

Our team of about 12 started using GitLab last year after management insisted on streamlining our code reviews and CI/CD processes. Getting everyone on board was smoother than I expected since the interface is fairly intuitive, and the built-in issue tracking really helped with keeping tasks visible across the group. It made collaboration easier, especially when multiple people were working on the same feature, and the merge request system cut down on messy conflicts. That said, the runner setup was a bit tricky at first and took some trial and error to get reliable builds.
