Visuals clunky, SQL runner slow

The data visualization tools have some useful options but are really clunky to set up and customize. Also, the SQL runner feels slow and sometimes just times out when running larger queries, which is frustrating during tight deadlines.

Great visuals, scheduling helps

The data visualization tools in Looker make digging through complex datasets way easier, and the scheduling feature for reports saves me a ton of time. Wish the dashboard customization was a bit more flexible, though.

Smooth team adoption and collaboration

Our team of about 10 shifted to Looker a few months ago, and honestly, it made a huge difference in how we share insights. Getting everyone on board was easier than I expected because the interface is pretty intuitive, even for folks who aren’t super technical. The collaboration features have helped us avoid those constant back-and-forth emails, since we can comment and update reports right inside the platform. Our manager was the one who pushed for the switch, and now the whole department has adopted it, which keeps everyone aligned much better than before.

Explore and Modeling Are Spot On

The Explore feature in Looker is exactly what we needed for diving into complex datasets without constantly writing SQL. It’s intuitive and lets me build custom reports on the fly, which has saved me tons of time. Also, the data modeling layer is solid—it keeps our definitions consistent across teams, avoiding the usual mess of conflicting metrics. Honestly, it’s made collaboration between data and business folks way smoother.

Great for SQL-savvy teams

Tried Tableau and Power BI before, but Looker stood out with its clean SQL-based modeling layer that made complex data easier to manage. The learning curve was a bit steep at first, but once I got the hang of it, the flexibility and integration with our data warehouse made it worth sticking with. Definitely a solid choice for teams comfortable with SQL who want more control over data modeling.

Solid for Team Collaboration

Our team of about 10 switched to Looker last year, and getting everyone on board was easier than I expected since the interface is pretty intuitive. It’s helped us collaborate better on reports, though sometimes the run times can be a bit slow with large data sets.

Super handy data tool

Looker’s been a total game changer for digging into data without needing to bug the IT team every five minutes. Setting up dashboards is surprisingly smooth, and the visuals actually make sense without much fuss. Wish it had a bit more flexibility with custom reports, but honestly, it’s saved me tons of time. Definitely worth messing around with if you wanna get real insights fast.

Great data exploration, limited visuals

The data exploration feature in Looker is exactly what we needed to give non-technical team members easy access to complex datasets. It’s intuitive and lets users dig into the data without feeling overwhelmed. However, the visualization options feel a bit limited compared to other tools, which sometimes makes conveying insights a bit tricky. Overall, it’s a solid tool for data analysis with room to grow in dashboard customization.

Smooth data modeling experience

Switched from Tableau and Power BI to Looker and really appreciate how easy it is to create custom reports without getting bogged down in complex setup. The way Looker handles data modeling feels more intuitive, which saved my team a lot of time. While Tableau has great visualization options, Looker's integration with our database makes the whole workflow smoother.
