Good value for the cost

Namely isn’t the cheapest option out there, but for the features it offers, it really pays for itself. Managing payroll and HR in one place has saved us a ton of time and headaches, which feels like a solid return on investment. For a smaller team like ours, it’s great value because it simplifies a lot of tasks that used to take multiple tools. The only downside is that the pricing can feel a bit steep if you don’t fully utilize all the features.

Setup Was Frustratingly Slow

Getting Namely up and running was way more frustrating than I expected. The onboarding felt disorganized, and it took forever to get basic features configured because the instructions were confusing and sometimes contradictory. I kept having to reach out to support just to figure out simple setup steps, which slowed everything down. Definitely not an intuitive process for anyone new to HR software.

Solved time off chaos

Our HR team was drowning in tracking time off and benefits for remote employees, which was a real headache. Namely made it way easier to keep everything organized and gave us clear reports, though the mobile app could be a bit smoother.

Used to be better

Started with Namely about five years ago when it was much simpler and easier to navigate. Over time, it feels like updates have made things more complicated without fixing core issues, and customer support has become less responsive. Honestly, it's been frustrating watching a tool I relied on slowly get worse instead of better.

Worth the investment overall

The pricing for Namely felt a bit steep at first, especially for a mid-sized team, but the features and automation ended up saving us a lot of manual work, which made it worth the cost. We saw a noticeable improvement in payroll accuracy and HR management efficiency, which quickly justified the expense. It’s definitely not the cheapest option out there, but the return on investment showed through fewer errors and less time spent on administrative tasks. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid value if you’re looking for something reliable and scalable.

Smooth and straightforward setup

Getting everything set up with Namely was surprisingly smooth. The onboarding team walked me through the basics, which made the initial process feel manageable rather than overwhelming. It took a couple of days to have everything fully configured, but the clear instructions and helpful support made a big difference. Overall, the learning curve was gentle enough that our team felt comfortable quickly.

Streamlined Team HR Tasks

Our team of about 15 started using Namely a few months ago after our manager insisted we try it for HR and payroll. Getting everyone on board was smoother than expected since the interface is pretty intuitive, which helped with collaboration and keeping track of tasks. It’s made juggling schedules and benefits easier, though sometimes it feels like some features could use a bit more polish.

Good value for money

Namely is a bit pricey compared to some others, but for what we get, it really pays off. The ROI in terms of saved admin time and smoother payroll makes it worth every penny in my book. Wish the onboarding was a little quicker tho.

User-friendly and streamlined

Switched from BambooHR and Gusto, and Namely’s interface felt way more user-friendly for our HR team. It’s not perfect—some reports are tricky to customize—but overall it streamlined payroll and benefits better than the others we tried.

Smooth onboarding and clear reports

The onboarding feature really streamlined getting new hires set up, which saved me a ton of time. I also like the reporting tools—they're straightforward and give me exactly the insights I need. The only downside is the mobile app, which can be a bit clunky sometimes.
