Simplified my video editing
Was struggling to edit multiple screen recordings for training videos without a simple way to cut and sync clips easily. Camtasia made it way easier to trim parts and add callouts exactly where I needed, saving me tons of time. The one thing that bugs me is the occasional lag when handling bigger files though.

Solid and easy to use
Camtasia’s been pretty solid for editing my screen recordings. I like how easy it is to chop clips up and add annotations without any fuss. Sometimes it feels a bit slow when exporting bigger projects tho, but overall it gets the job done and I haven’t had many headaches with it. Would def recommend if you don’t need crazy advanced stuff.

Frustrating and buggy experience
Honestly, kept crashing on me and the editing tools felt super clunky. Not worth the hassle for how buggy it was.

Great recording, audio needs work
The screen recording feature captures everything smoothly and the built-in video editor is surprisingly easy to use. Wish the audio editing tools were a bit more intuitive though.

Good but a bit pricey
The price feels a bit steep for what you get, especially if you're not using it every day. It can be worth it if you need solid editing tools, but I struggled to justify the cost for occasional use.

Reliable and Improving Over Time
Started using this about 5 years ago and it’s definitely grown on me. The updates have made editing smoother and some of the newer features really help speed up my workflow. Still wish the export options were a bit more flexible, but overall it’s been a solid tool that keeps getting better.

Solid, User-Friendly Screen Recorder
I gave Camtasia a shot after trying out OBS Studio and ScreenFlow, and I ended up sticking with it because the editing interface felt a lot more intuitive for my workflow. OBS is great for free screen capture, but the built-in editor is pretty minimal, which meant jumping between apps. ScreenFlow is powerful but felt a bit overwhelming and pricey for what I needed. Camtasia struck a nice balance with easy drag-and-drop editing and solid annotation tools, which really helped when creating tutorials. The only downside is that it can be a bit heavy on system resources when working with longer videos.

Easy and efficient screen recorder
I switched to Camtasia after trying out OBS Studio and Filmora, mainly because I wanted a more straightforward way to edit my screen recordings without juggling multiple apps. While OBS is great for free recording, its editing tools felt clunky and limited. Filmora had good editing features but lacked the smooth integration with screen capture that Camtasia offers. Camtasia's timeline and effects are intuitive enough that I can quickly produce polished tutorials without spending too much time learning the software, which is why it stands out for me.

Good for tutorials, but slow export
I gave Camtasia a try after using OBS Studio and Filmora for video projects. While Camtasia’s interface is more user-friendly than OBS, it felt a bit clunky compared to Filmora’s smoother editing features. I liked the built-in annotations and easy timeline edits, but sometimes the export times dragged on longer than I expected. Overall, it’s solid for quick tutorials, but for more complex edits, I found other tools more flexible.

Quick and smooth setup
Setup was pretty straightforward and I had it running in about 15 minutes. The onboarding tutorials helped a lot, though I stumbled a bit figuring out some of the advanced features at first.
