Easy and reliable editor
Camtasia’s screen recording and editing tools are super easy to use, and I like how quick it is to throw together videos without a hassle. Wish it had a few more transitions though.

Solid choice for quick editing
I tried ScreenFlow and OBS before settling on Camtasia, mostly because it strikes a good balance between easy editing and powerful features. ScreenFlow felt a bit clunky on my setup, and OBS was great for recording but lacked built-in editing tools. Camtasia's interface is straightforward, and I appreciate how quickly I can add annotations and effects without hunting through menus.

Great for quick tutorials
Switched from OBS and ScreenFlow and liked Camtasia better for its straightforward editing timeline and built-in effects. It’s missing some advanced features, but for quick tutorial videos it hits the sweet spot.

Simplified tutorial editing
I was struggling to create clear tutorial videos for my team without spending hours on editing. Camtasia made it easy to cut out mistakes and add helpful annotations quickly, which saved me a ton of time and frustration. The interface isn’t the flashiest, but it got the job done exactly how I needed.

Good value for the price
Camtasia costs a bit more than some other options, but I've found it worth the investment for how easy it makes editing videos. The learning curve was minimal, so I was able to start producing good content quickly, which definitely justifies the price for me. Wish the upgrade fees weren't so frequent though.

Solid for quick tutorials
Camtasia’s been solid for putting together quick tutorials and messing around with screen recordings. Sometimes it lags a bit when editing longer videos, but overall it’s easy to use and does what I need without much fuss.

Mixed feelings on collaboration
Our team of 8 started using Camtasia for quick training videos, but getting everyone to actually use it was kinda hit or miss. Some find it easy to collaborate on edits, while others struggle with the interface, so it’s been a mixed bag overall.

Smooth editing, worth the price
Switched from OBS Studio and gave ScreenFlow a shot, but Camtasia stood out because of its straightforward editing timeline and built-in effects. I liked how easy it was to trim clips and add callouts without wrestling with complicated menus, which made my workflow smoother. The only downside is that it feels a bit pricey for what it offers, but overall it’s worth it for quick, polished videos.

Good value but a bit pricey
Camtasia isn’t cheap, and I was hesitant at first because there are cheaper options out there. That said, the ease of use and solid editing features mean I’ve saved time on projects, which kind of balances out the cost. For solo creators or small teams who need something reliable, it’s a decent investment, but if you just need basic recording, it might feel a bit pricey. Overall, I’d say it’s a fair value but not exactly a bargain.

Solid choice for tutorials
I tried both OBS Studio and ScreenFlow before settling on Camtasia. What sold me was how much easier it was to edit recordings without needing a bunch of extra software—the built-in tools are straightforward but powerful enough for my tutorials. It’s not perfect, especially the price feels a bit steep, but the convenience beats the others for what I do.
