Fast and reliable screen capture

I switched from Loom and Snagit to CloudApp mainly because I needed quicker sharing and annotation features for work. Compared to Loom, CloudApp felt snappier when capturing and uploading videos, which made sending quick feedback way easier. I did notice a bit of a learning curve with some of the annotation tools, but overall it’s been a solid choice for my daily screen recording and image grabs. Just wish the mobile app was a bit more stable though.

Mixed setup experience

Getting CloudApp up and running was a bit of a mixed bag. The initial onboarding was straightforward and I had the app installed in under 10 minutes, but figuring out some of the more advanced features took longer than I expected. Overall, it wasn’t the smoothest setup, but once you get past the learning curve, it works fine.

Saved tons of review time

Our team was drowning in back-and-forth emails trying to explain small UI bugs during product reviews. CloudApp made it way easier to just record quick videos and annotate screenshots, so everyone could see exactly what I meant without lengthy explanations. This saved us a ton of time and reduced confusion, especially with remote team members who couldn't jump on calls easily. The only downside is the occasional lag when uploading larger files, but overall it really streamlined our feedback process.

Quick and smooth setup

Getting CloudApp up and running was surprisingly smooth. The onboarding walked me through the essentials without overwhelming info, and I had it working in under 10 minutes. Took me a bit to figure out some of the more advanced features, but overall setup was hassle-free.

Great for quick team sharing

Our team of about 12 started using CloudApp a few months ago after our manager pushed for better communication tools. Getting everyone on board took a couple of weeks since some preferred old habits, but once they saw how easy it was to share quick screenshots and videos, adoption sped up. It’s really helped cut down on long email threads and meetings when sharing feedback on projects. The only downside has been occasional syncing glitches, but overall it’s made collaboration smoother for us.

Fast and simple screen sharing

CloudApp has been super handy for quick screen grabs and sharing videos without any fuss. I like how simple it is to use and the speed at which I can get stuff uploaded and shared with my team. Sometimes the video quality drops a bit, but overall it’s reliable enough for my daily tasks. Definitely saves me a bunch of time compared to other tools I’ve tried.

Great for quick feedback

The screenshot annotation tool is exactly what we needed for quick feedback during design reviews. Also, the screen recording feature works great for creating short how-to videos, though sometimes the upload speed can be a bit slow.

Good features, rough edges

Started using this a few years ago and while the interface has improved, it still feels a bit clunky sometimes. The quick screenshot feature is handy, but occasional syncing issues can be frustrating.

Helpful but buggy sharing tool

Had a hard time sharing quick screenshots with my remote team without jumping between apps. CloudApp made it way easier to capture and send images instantly, which definitely saved me time during meetings. That said, the upload speed was kinda slow sometimes and the app crashed on me a couple times, so it’s not totally reliable yet.

Simple, fast, and effective

I initially tried Loom for screen recording but found CloudApp's annotation tools way easier to use when sharing quick edits with my team. I also looked at Snagit, but it felt a bit clunky and overly complex for what I needed. What sold me on CloudApp was how fast it is to capture, annotate, and share content without jumping through hoops, which makes everyday communication smoother. The one downside is that the pricing can get steep if you want access to all features, but for the core stuff, it's excellent.
