Worth the investment overall

Domo is a bit pricey for smaller setups, but the insights it provides have definitely paid off for my team. Took a little while to see the ROI, but now it feels worth the cost.

Finally streamlined reporting

Our team was drowning in messy data from multiple sources, and Domo helped us pull everything together in one dashboard without needing a developer. It made monthly reporting way less painful and saved us hours each time.

Mixed feelings on adoption

Our team of about 10 started using Domo because our manager wanted a unified platform for all our reports. Getting everyone on board was a bit of a challenge since some folks found the interface confusing at first, and adoption was uneven. Collaboration improved somewhat since dashboards could be shared easily, but the learning curve slowed things down. Overall, it’s helpful for visualizing data but not as intuitive as we hoped.

Setup Was Hit or Miss

Getting Domo set up was a mixed bag for me. The initial onboarding was straightforward and I had the basics running in under an hour, but diving deeper into customization introduced a steep learning curve that slowed things down quite a bit.

Data unification fell short

We were drowning in disconnected data sources, and Domo promised to unify everything. It did help by pulling in data from different platforms, but setting up and customizing dashboards was way more complicated than expected. It ended up taking a lot of time to get even basic reports running, which defeated the purpose of streamlining our process.

Solid but a bit complex

Tried Tableau and Power BI before settling on Domo because of its all-in-one platform feel, but honestly, it gets a bit overwhelming with too many features I don’t end up using. The dashboards look clean and it handles data integration well, but sometimes the learning curve feels steeper compared to Power BI. Overall, good for bigger teams but might be overkill for smaller setups.

Good for data visuals

Domo’s pretty solid for pulling together data from different places, and the visuals look clean. Took me a bit to figure out some of the settings but once it clicked, it made my reports way easier. Wish it was a bit faster tho, sometimes it lags a bit.

Great Visuals, Slow Integration

The data visualization feature in Domo really stands out for me—it’s super intuitive and makes spotting trends way easier than with other tools I’ve tried. The ability to customize dashboards on the fly is a big help when sharing insights with different teams. However, the data integration process can sometimes feel a bit clunky and slow, especially with larger datasets. Overall, it’s a solid platform that nails visualization but could improve a bit on loading times.

Great for multi-source data

Switched from Tableau and Power BI, and Domo stood out because of its ease in handling multiple data sources without constant tweaking. The interface feels cleaner and the mobile app actually works well, which was a pain point with the others.

Saved Hours on Reporting

Our team was drowning in trying to pull together sales data from multiple sources each week, and it was eating up hours of manual work. Domo helped by centralizing all the data and automating the reports, which saved us a ton of time and reduced errors. The dashboards are pretty intuitive, so even people who aren’t super technical can get what they need without bugging the data team constantly. There were a few hiccups setting up connectors at first, but overall it streamlined our whole process.
