Solid for team collaboration
Our team of about 8 developers switched to GitHub last year, mostly because our manager pushed for better version control and smoother code reviews. Getting everyone onboard wasn’t too bad, though a couple of folks struggled a bit with the branching model at first. Collaboration has definitely improved since we can comment directly on pull requests and track changes more easily. The one annoying thing is sometimes merge conflicts get tricky and slow us down, but overall it’s been a solid change.

Smooth and quick setup
Getting started with GitHub was straightforward, and the onboarding guides helped me grasp the basics quickly. Took me about 20 minutes to get everything set up and push my first repo without any headaches.

Great for team collaboration
Our team of about 10 developers switched to GitHub last year, and it really made a difference in how we handle code reviews and merge conflicts. Getting everyone on board was a bit slow at first, especially since some folks were used to other tools, but the interface is intuitive enough that most caught on quickly. The best part is how easily we can track changes and collaborate on branches without stepping on each other's toes. It’s become the go-to platform for our projects, though sometimes the notifications can get overwhelming.

Saved us from merge chaos
Our team was drowning in messy code conflicts during collaborative projects, but using GitHub's pull request system made reviewing and merging so much smoother. It saved us a ton of time and reduced errors significantly.

Great PR reviews, okay issues
The pull request review system is really helpful for collaborating with my team, making it easy to comment and suggest changes. However, the issue tracking could use a bit more customization options to better fit our workflow. Overall, it’s a solid tool that gets the job done without too many headaches.

Overpriced for small teams
Honestly, GitHub feels way overpriced for what it offers, especially if you’re just a small team or an individual dev. Some features like private repos used to be paid but now are free on other platforms, so I don’t see the value in their higher-tier plans. The interface is decent but nothing special to justify the cost, and the ROI just isn’t there for me. Definitely felt like I was paying for the name more than actual benefits.

Smooth collaboration boost
Our team of about 8 started using GitHub a few months ago, and it really helped with keeping everyone's work synced up. Getting all of us on board was a bit slow at first since some preferred other tools, but once we settled in, collaboration became way smoother. Sometimes the interface feels a bit clunky when managing large projects, but overall it’s made code reviews and merges way easier.

Smooth setup, minor learning curve
Getting started with GitHub was surprisingly smooth, and I had my first repo up and running within minutes. The onboarding guides were clear enough that I didn't feel lost, though some advanced features took a bit of digging to fully understand.

Overpriced for small teams
Honestly, GitHub feels way overpriced for what it offers, especially if you’re just a small team or solo developer. The free tier is decent enough, but once you hit paid plans, the cost climbs quickly without a huge jump in value. I expected more features or better support for the price, but it didn’t really pay off for my projects. There are cheaper alternatives that do the job just as well without emptying your wallet.

Good tools but pricey
The pricing feels a bit steep if you’re a solo developer or small team, but the integrated tools do save time and headaches. Still, I wish there were more affordable options for casual users.
