Slowing down and frustrating

Started using Notion about three years ago and at first, it felt like a game changer for organizing my work and personal projects. Over time, though, it’s gotten slower and clunkier, especially with larger databases, which is super frustrating. Features that used to be simple now feel complicated or buggy, and I’ve had to switch to other apps for certain tasks. Honestly, it’s disappointing to see something I relied on go downhill like this.

Great for Custom Databases

The ability to customize databases is a game changer for organizing my projects, and the drag-and-drop editor makes rearranging pages super easy. The only hiccup is that sometimes the mobile app feels a bit sluggish.

Flexible and feature-rich workspace

I tried Evernote and Trello before landing on Notion, and honestly, Notion just felt more flexible for how I like to organize stuff. Evernote was great for note-taking but got clunky when I tried managing projects, and Trello’s boards felt too rigid for my needs. Notion’s combo of notes, databases, and templates all in one place made it way easier to keep everything connected, though it can take a bit to get used to the interface. Overall, it’s been a solid choice for juggling personal and work projects, even if sometimes the app feels a little slow on mobile.

Great databases, iffy offline

The database feature makes organizing projects super easy and flexible. I wish the offline mode was a bit more reliable though, since I sometimes lose access when I’m on the go.

Quick and smooth setup

Getting set up was surprisingly quick, and the onboarding guides helped me figure things out without much hassle. Took maybe 20 minutes to feel comfortable navigating the basics.

Great for team collaboration

Our team of about 12 started using Notion a few months ago after our manager pushed for a centralized tool to organize projects and notes. Getting everyone to fully adopt it took some time since some folks prefer simpler tools, but once the basics were in place, collaboration really improved—especially with shared docs and task tracking. The flexibility to customize pages for different projects helped keep everyone on the same page, though it can feel a bit overwhelming for new users at first. Overall, it's made remote teamwork smoother and kept our chaotic files from getting lost in endless email threads.

Improved Over Time

Started using this about four years ago and it’s really grown into a solid tool for organizing everything from work projects to personal notes. The interface has gotten smoother and the new features genuinely make life easier without overcomplicating things.

Smooth and straightforward setup

Setting up Notion was surprisingly quick—I had a basic workspace up and running in under 30 minutes. The onboarding guides are helpful without being overwhelming, which made the learning curve much easier to handle than I expected. I did stumble a bit with templates at first since there are so many options, but overall it didn’t take long to get comfortable navigating everything. Definitely worth the small time investment to customize things to how I work.

Powerful databases, clunky mobile

The database feature in Notion is seriously a game-changer for organizing all my projects and tasks in one place. I love how customizable the views are, especially the Kanban boards which help me visualize progress easily. That said, the mobile app sometimes lags when switching between pages, which can be frustrating on the go. Overall, it’s a solid tool that fits well into my workflow but could use some polish on mobile performance.

Flexible and All-in-One Workspace

I gave Evernote and Trello a shot before settling on Notion, and honestly, Notion won me over because of how flexible it is. Unlike Evernote, which felt a bit rigid for organizing different project types, Notion lets me mix notes, tasks, and databases seamlessly in one place. Trello is great for visual task management, but I found it lacking in handling detailed docs alongside my workflows. The only downside is that Notion can sometimes feel overwhelming with all the options, but once you get the hang of it, it’s a solid tool for managing everything.
