Good but could improve
Tried Tableau and Looker before, but Power BI felt more familiar since we use a lot of Microsoft products. Though it's great for quick reports, sometimes the UI gets clunky and slow with bigger datasets.

Great visuals, slow refresh
The data visualization options in Power BI are really flexible and helped me create clear, interactive reports that my team actually enjoys using. However, the data refresh can sometimes be slow, which gets frustrating when working with large datasets.

Saved hours on reporting
Our team was drowning in scattered sales data and manual reporting every week. Power BI helped us pull all the sources together into one dashboard that updates automatically, saving us hours and giving us clearer insights on trends. It made a huge difference in how quickly we can react to sales shifts.

Improved steadily over time
Started using this about five years ago, and I’ve seen it get noticeably better with each update—especially in how smooth the data integrations are now.

Not user-friendly or reliable
I gave Power BI a shot after trying Tableau and Looker. Honestly, it felt clunky and way less intuitive than those two. Tableau’s drag-and-drop interface just made data visualization easier to manage, and Looker’s cloud integration is much smoother. Power BI seemed like it tried to cram too many features but ended up being confusing, and the performance was slow with larger datasets, which was frustrating.

Great for Team Insights
Our team of eight quickly adopted Power BI for tracking project progress and sales data. Getting everyone on board was surprisingly smooth since the visuals helped with clearer communication and faster decision-making.

Useful but inconsistent adoption
Our team of about 10 people started using Power BI after management pushed for a single reporting tool. Getting everyone on board was a bit of a struggle since some folks found it unintuitive and preferred their own spreadsheets. Collaboration improved somewhat once we standardized reports, but sharing complex dashboards still feels clunky. Overall, it's useful for consolidating data, but the learning curve and inconsistent adoption slowed things down.

Great visuals, tricky refresh
The data visualization options are super flexible and let me create exactly the reports I need. However, the data refresh schedules can be a bit confusing to set up at first.

Good but mixed adoption experience
Our team of about 10 started using Power BI after management insisted on standardizing our reporting tools. Getting everyone to adopt it was a bit of a struggle since some folks found the interface confusing and preferred simpler spreadsheets. Collaboration improved for those comfortable with it, especially when sharing dashboards, but a few teammates often ended up reverting to old tools out of frustration. Overall, it’s a solid tool but the learning curve and mixed enthusiasm made it a bit of a mixed bag for us.

Dependable and steadily improving
Started working with Power BI about five years ago, and it’s come a long way since then. The interface has gotten more intuitive, and the data modeling options have expanded in really helpful ways. What I appreciate most is how regularly they update the tool without breaking existing workflows, which makes adopting new features pretty painless. It’s reliable for the kind of reporting I do daily, though sometimes the performance can lag with very large datasets.
