Finally Tamed Our Sales Data
We were drowning in messy spreadsheets trying to track sales trends across regions. Power BI helped me pull all that data into one place with clear visuals, making it way easier to spot where we were losing money — saved me hours every week. The learning curve was a bit steep tho.

Great integration and speed
Compared Power BI to Tableau and Looker, and Power BI won out for me thanks to its seamless integration with Excel and Microsoft products we already use. The learning curve was a bit steep at first, but once I got the hang of it, creating dashboards became way quicker than with the others.

Good value for the price
Power BI isn’t the cheapest tool out there, but for what it offers, it’s definitely worth the investment. In my experience, the insights I’ve gained have helped our team make smarter decisions that more than justify the cost. It’s especially great for small to medium teams who need solid analytics without a massive budget. Sometimes the pricing tiers can get a bit confusing, but overall, the return on investment has been clear for us.

Great for team data sharing
Our team of eight started using Power BI last year, and once we got past the initial learning curve, it really helped everyone stay on the same page with data updates. Getting everyone on board took some effort, but now it feels like a go-to tool for our weekly meetings.

Improved and reliable over time
Started using Power BI about five years ago, and it’s definitely come a long way since then. The interface feels smoother now, and the new features actually help me dig into data faster without as much hassle.

Setup was a mixed bag
Getting Power BI set up wasn’t exactly smooth—some parts took longer than I expected, especially connecting data sources. Once I got past the initial learning curve, things got easier, but the onboarding documentation could be clearer.

Decent but a bit clunky
Power BI does the job for basic data stuff, but sometimes it feels a bit clunky and not super intuitive. I like that it connects to a bunch of sources easily, which saves some time. The visuals look okay, though customizing them can get frustrating if you’re not super tech-savvy. Overall, it’s fine for casual use but definitely has some rough edges.

Better fit than Tableau and Looker
I gave Power BI a shot after trying Tableau and Looker, and honestly, it just clicked better for me. The integration with Excel and other Microsoft tools made my workflow way smoother, plus the learning curve felt less steep compared to Tableau. Looker was cool but felt a bit too rigid for my style. The only annoying bit was some of the visuals took a bit longer to load than I'd like, but overall it's solid for the price and convenience.

Good but a bit pricey
The price feels a bit steep for smaller teams like mine, but the insights it provides have helped justify the cost over time. Still, I wish some features were included in the basic plan instead of extra fees.

Setup was a bit frustrating
Getting Power BI up and running was a bit of a mixed bag—initial setup was straightforward and I had basic reports working within an hour, but digging into more complex features felt confusing and slowed me down. The onboarding materials helped but didn't fully prepare me for some of the quirks during implementation.
