Solid for long-term use
After using Slack for over five years, I’ve seen it go from a simple chat tool to a solid hub for team collaboration. The interface has improved a lot, and integrations keep getting better, though it can still get a bit overwhelming with too many channels.

Overpriced for small teams
Slack feels way overpriced for what it offers, especially when you factor in how many essential features are locked behind pricey plans. For small teams, the cost just doesn’t match the actual value we get.

Setup was a mixed experience
Getting started was a bit of a mixed bag—setting up channels and invites was quick, but figuring out all the features took longer than I expected. Onboarding new team members wasn't super smooth either, which slowed things down a bit.

Keeps Team Communication Clear
Our team used to lose track of important updates in endless email threads, which slowed us down a lot. Slack’s channels and instant messaging helped us keep conversations organized and respond way faster.

Great for quick team chats
Our team of about 12 switched to Slack last year and it really sped up how we share info. Getting everyone used to it took a bit, especially those less techy, but now it's our main go-to for quick questions and project chats.

Better than Teams and Discord
Switched from Microsoft Teams and gave Discord a try, but Slack just felt easier to organize with channels and threads. It’s not perfect—sometimes notifications get a bit crazy—but overall it fits our team's style better.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Setting up Slack was surprisingly quick for me—I had it up and running in under 15 minutes without much hassle. The onboarding process walked me through the basics pretty well, so I didn’t feel totally lost at first. There was a slight learning curve when figuring out how to organize channels and notifications, but nothing that slowed me down too much. Overall, it was easy enough to get started and felt intuitive after just a little use.

Quick and smooth setup
Getting Slack up and running was surprisingly quick—had it set up and inviting teammates within about 15 minutes. There was a slight learning curve with some of the integrations, but nothing that slowed me down much.

Useful but a bit messy
Slack’s alright for keeping in touch with the team, but sometimes it feels a bit cluttered and overwhelming with all the channels and notifications. I like how easy it is to share files and jump into quick chats, though. The search function could definitely be better; I usually have to scroll a lot to find stuff. Overall, it gets the job done but doesn’t wow me or anything.

Great for team communication
Our team of about 12 started using Slack a few months ago after management encouraged us to try it for day-to-day communication. Getting everyone on board was smoother than expected since it replaced a mix of emails and random chat apps, and now most conversations happen in organized channels which helps keep things clear. It’s really boosted collaboration, especially when sharing quick updates or files during hectic projects, though sometimes the notifications can get overwhelming if you’re not diligent about muting channels. Overall, it’s made remote work feel more connected and less chaotic.
