Good but getting cluttered

Started using Slack about five years ago, and while it was a game-changer for team communication early on, the platform feels a bit bloated now. They've added so many features over time, but sometimes it feels like they get in the way rather than helping. Notifications can be overwhelming and managing multiple channels gets confusing fast. Overall, it’s still helpful but not as seamless as it used to be.

Worth the extra cost

Slack costs a bit more than some other options, but for the way our team communicates daily, it’s honestly worth the extra. The ROI shows up in saved emails and faster decisions, though the pricing can be a pinch for smaller groups.

Quick and smooth setup

Getting Slack up and running was surprisingly quick—I had a few channels set up and teammates invited within an hour. The onboarding tips helped smooth out the minor learning curve, making it easy to dive right in.

Great channels, cluttered notifications

The channel organization in Slack really helps keep conversations easy to follow, especially when juggling multiple projects. I also like the file sharing feature since it makes grabbing important docs quick, though sometimes notifications can get a bit overwhelming.

Improves with time

After using Slack for over five years, I’ve noticed it really gets better with each update. The interface feels smoother and the search function is way more reliable now, which makes finding old messages less of a headache. It’s become an essential tool for keeping our remote team connected without feeling cluttered.

Steady improvements over time

Been with Slack for over five years now and it has definitely improved — especially with the way threads and notifications work. It feels smoother and more reliable than when I first started.

Good threading, tricky notifications

The message threading feature really helps keep conversations organized, but I find the notification settings a bit confusing to customize exactly how I want.

Great for team communication

Our team of about 15 switched to Slack a few months ago after our manager insisted we try it out to improve communication. Getting everyone on board was smoother than expected since it’s pretty intuitive, and now most of our day-to-day quick questions and updates happen there instead of email. It really helps keep things organized with channels for different projects, though sometimes important messages get buried if people don’t check regularly. Overall, it’s made collaboration easier and more transparent for us.

Good value for small teams

Slack is definitely a solid tool for keeping communication smooth, especially with smaller teams. The pricing isn't cheap, but in my experience, it really pays off by cutting down on endless email threads and keeping everything organized in one place. That said, if you're a larger company or don't use the advanced features much, the cost can feel a bit steep. Overall, worth the investment if you value clear, fast messaging and integrations that actually save time.

Better workflow with Slack

Switched from Microsoft Teams after finding the interface a bit clunky, and Slack just felt more intuitive for quick conversations and organizing channels. I also gave Discord a try, but Slack's integration with other work tools like Google Drive and Zoom made collaboration smoother for our team. The search function in Slack is a lifesaver when trying to find important messages buried in busy channels. My only gripe is that it can get pricey once you need advanced features for larger teams.
