Best all-in-one screen recorder
I initially tried ScreenFlow but found Camtasia's editing tools way more intuitive and faster to use. Compared to OBS, which is great for recording but lacks built-in editing, Camtasia offers a solid all-in-one package that saved me time. It’s not perfect—sometimes the export takes longer than I'd like—but overall it’s the best fit for my workflow.

Great for team training videos
Our team of about 8 started using Camtasia mainly for training videos, and once the boss insisted on giving it a try, everyone picked it up faster than I expected. It really helped us collaborate on editing and sharing content without too many back-and-forths.

Quick and easy setup
Setup was pretty straightforward and I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes. The onboarding tutorials helped me get the hang of basic editing quickly, though some of the advanced features took a bit more tinkering to figure out. Overall, no major headaches getting started.

Great recording, editing needs polish
The screen recording feature is super reliable and easy to use, which saved me a lot of time. The video editing tools are decent but sometimes feel a bit clunky when trying to do finer adjustments.

Helped with tutorial editing
I was struggling to create clear tutorial videos with smooth zoom and callouts, and Camtasia really helped me nail that part. The timeline editing made it easier to sync my voiceover and screen captures, which was a big time saver. That said, it sometimes lags on longer projects, and exporting can be slow, so it’s not perfect for heavy editing.

Solid but a bit slow
Tried OBS Studio and ScreenFlow before settling on Camtasia. I like Camtasia’s built-in editing tools more than OBS’s lack of them, but it feels kinda bloated and a bit slow at times compared to ScreenFlow. Still, it’s decent for quick, polished videos if you don’t mind paying for it.

Great for team video projects
Our team of about 10 started using Camtasia a few months ago for creating training videos and product demos. Getting everyone on board wasn’t too difficult since the interface is quite intuitive, and the learning curve felt manageable. It’s made collaboration easier because we can quickly edit and share drafts without jumping between too many different tools. The only downside is sometimes the export times can be a bit slow, which can interrupt workflow during busy periods.

Reliable and improving steadily
Started using this about five years ago and it just keeps getting smoother and more intuitive. The updates have really helped with export options and editing features without making the interface more complicated.

Solid for quick edits
Camtasia’s great for quick video edits and screen recordings, only thing is sometimes it lags a bit when the files get big.

Consistently improving tool
Started using this about 5 years ago and honestly, it’s come a long way since then. The interface feels way more intuitive now, and the new features they've added actually make editing quicker for me. Sometimes the program does lag a bit when working with larger files, but overall it's been super reliable for all my tutorial videos.
