Great for team collaboration
Our team of about 10 switched to GitLab last year, and getting everyone up to speed took a bit longer than expected. Once we got past that, collaboration really improved since everything’s in one place and merge requests are way easier to track. The only annoying thing is the occasional slow UI, but overall it's helped us work more smoothly together.

Keeps getting better
Started using this about 5 years ago and it's only gotten smoother and more reliable. Some features took a bit to learn but the improvements over time have been really noticeable.

Smooth team collaboration boost
Our team of 8 switched to GitLab last year, and getting everyone on board was surprisingly smooth since the interface is pretty intuitive. Collaboration has definitely improved, especially with the built-in merge request reviews and issue tracking all in one place.

Setup was frustratingly slow
Setting up GitLab was way more complicated than I expected. The onboarding materials were confusing and I spent several frustrating hours just trying to get the basics configured. Definitely not a smooth start for someone without deep DevOps experience.

Great value for the features
GitLab might not be the cheapest option out there, but for the features and reliability it offers, it’s definitely worth the cost. Our team saw a clear boost in productivity which made the investment pay off pretty quickly. It’s great value, especially if you’re managing multiple projects and want everything in one place.

Smooth setup with minor learning curve
Getting GitLab up and running took me about an afternoon, and the onboarding materials really helped smooth out the rough spots. There was a bit of a learning curve figuring out all the features, but the setup itself was straightforward.

Worth the investment
It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the time saved managing code and CI/CD makes it worth the investment for our team. Definitely a solid ROI once you get things set up.

Great integrated Dev platform
Switched from GitHub and Bitbucket mainly because GitLab offered a more integrated CI/CD experience right out of the box, which saved me a ton of setup time. The interface can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it, the comprehensive project management tools are a real plus. I did notice the occasional slow load times on bigger repos, but overall it’s been solid and reliable for our team’s workflow. Definitely felt like a step up compared to the other two, especially when it comes to automation features.

Setup was a nightmare
Getting GitLab up and running was a total headache. The onboarding docs were confusing, and it took way longer than expected just to figure out the basics.

All-in-one tool, works great
GitLab made managing my projects way easier than I thought it'd be. Love how everything’s in one place and the CI/CD stuff just works without a ton of hassle. Only thing is the UI can get a bit slow sometimes, but overall, super solid!
