Reliable and improving analytics tool
Started using Heap about three years ago, and I’ve seen it improve quite a bit since then. The way it captures data without any manual tracking setup has saved me a ton of time, especially as our product grew more complex. Over time, the interface has become more intuitive, and their support has been pretty responsive when I had questions. Sometimes, I wish the reporting options were a bit more flexible, but overall it’s been a solid tool for understanding user behavior.

Saved Us From Guesswork
We were drowning in figuring out exactly where users dropped off during our onboarding flow, which made it hard to improve conversion. Heap’s automatic event tracking saved us from manually tagging every click and pageview, letting us quickly identify the exact step causing the biggest churn. It helped the team focus efforts on the right fixes without wasting time guessing, and the visualizations made sharing insights much easier. It’s not perfect—sometimes the data feels a bit delayed—but overall it nailed the problem we had.

Disappointing compared to others
I gave Heap a shot after trying Mixpanel and Amplitude, hoping for something more intuitive, but honestly, it fell short. The interface felt cluttered and it was tough to find the data I actually needed without jumping through hoops. Mixpanel’s funnel analysis and Amplitude’s user segmentation felt way more straightforward, so I ended up switching back. Heap promises automatic tracking, but in practice, it was more confusing and less reliable for my team’s needs.

Good value for the insights
Heap isn’t the cheapest option out there, but the insights it provides have definitely helped me make smarter decisions that saved money in the long run. For what it offers, it feels like a solid investment.

Solid analytics with ease
Switched from Mixpanel after feeling it was too clunky for our small team, and Heap’s automatic event tracking really saved us time. Compared it to Amplitude too, but Heap’s UI just felt more intuitive and less overwhelming, though sometimes the data processing can lag a bit. Overall, it hits a nice balance between ease of use and depth without making me wanna pull my hair out.

Good for quick tracking
Tried Mixpanel and Amplitude before, and while Heap’s automatic event tracking is handy, I found the interface less intuitive and the reporting a bit limiting. Switched back to Amplitude for deeper customization but still use Heap occasionally for quick setups.

Great tracking, funnels need work
The automatic event tracking saves me so much setup time and the user-friendly interface makes digging into data straightforward. I wish the funnel analysis was a bit more customizable though.

Decent but a bit clunky
Heap's fine for tracking basic user behavior, but sometimes the data feels a bit off or delayed. Setting up events isn’t as intuitive as I hoped, which made me spend more time fiddling than I wanted. That said, the automatic capture feature saved me some hassle and it does cover the essentials pretty well. Overall, not bad but definitely room for improvement.

Good value for insights
Heap’s pricing feels a bit high at first, but the insights it provides have definitely helped me make smarter decisions that paid off quickly. For what I get, it’s a solid investment.

Reliable and improving over time
Started using this about three years ago, and it’s definitely gotten smoother and more intuitive over time. The data accuracy has improved a lot, making it easier to trust the insights day-to-day.
