Really handy and intuitive
Heap’s been super handy for tracking user actions without needing to set up a bunch of manual events. The interface is pretty straightforward, although sometimes I wish it was a bit faster when loading big datasets. Overall, it’s saved me a ton of time digging through data.

Smooth start, tricky deeper setup
The initial onboarding was straightforward and had it tracking basic events quickly, but digging into more advanced features took a lot longer than I expected. Setup overall was a mixed bag—some parts were smooth, others pretty confusing without better docs.

Nice tracking, clunky reports
The automatic event tracking feature really helps cut down on setup time, which I appreciate since I’m not super technical. However, the user interface for building custom reports feels a bit clunky and unintuitive — it takes more effort than I'd expect to get the insights I need. Overall, I like the tracking capabilities but wish the reporting side was smoother to navigate.

Better tracking with less hassle
Switched from Mixpanel after finding Heap's automatic event tracking way more flexible without needing to tag everything manually. I also gave Amplitude a shot, but Heap's interface felt more intuitive for digging into user behavior without jumping through hoops. The only downside is that importing historical data took longer than I expected.

Smooth and straightforward setup
The setup was straightforward and I had everything up and running within about an hour. The onboarding materials were clear and made it easy to understand the basics without feeling overwhelmed. There was a slight learning curve to getting the most out of the platform, but the initial process was smooth.

Worth the investment
Heap’s pricing felt a bit steep at first, but after tracking the improvement in our user engagement, it quickly paid for itself. For smaller teams, it might seem pricey, but the detailed insights we get make it a solid investment in understanding customer behavior better.

Good, but a bit clunky
Tried Amplitude and Mixpanel before, but Heap's automatic event tracking saved me a lot of setup time. That said, the UI can get confusing and sometimes it's slow loading reports, which is frustrating.

Helpful for tracking, but clunky UI
Our team was drowning in messy user data and tracking gaps until we started using Heap. It helped catch some key user interactions automatically without manual tagging, which saved time, but the interface felt cluttered and sometimes confusing to navigate.

Great tracking, clunky UI
The automatic event tracking is really handy and saved me a lot of setup time, but the user interface can get confusing when trying to dig into detailed reports. I liked how easy it was to get started, but sometimes I struggled to find specific data without jumping through multiple menus.

Great for team analytics collaboration
Our team of about 12 uses Heap mainly to track user behavior across our app, and it’s been pretty helpful for uncovering trends without needing to bug engineering for custom events all the time. Getting everyone on board was smoother than I expected since the interface is fairly intuitive, though it did take a couple of weeks for folks to get comfortable building their own reports. Collaboration has improved because we can easily share dashboards that highlight key metrics during our weekly check-ins. The only downside is that sometimes the data can feel a bit delayed, which can be frustrating when we want real-time insights.
