Simplified user tracking
Our team was drowning in tracking user behavior across multiple platforms, and Heap made it way easier by automatically capturing events without needing extra dev time. It saved us from having to manually tag everything and gave us clearer insights much faster.

Pricey but useful insights
The pricing feels a bit steep for smaller teams like ours, and while the insights are helpful, it’s not always clear if the ROI justifies the cost. It could be a better value if they offered more flexible plans.

Great event visualizer, minor tracking gaps
The event visualizer is exactly what we needed to quickly understand user behavior on our site without digging through raw data. The automatic tracking setup saved a lot of time, though sometimes it misses a few custom events we want to track.

Great for team data collaboration
Our team of about 10 adopted Heap a few months ago to better track user behavior across our app. Getting everyone on board took a bit of effort since some folks were used to other tools, but once the initial setup was done, the collaboration really improved because data was accessible to everyone without constant back-and-forth. The product manager pushed for the switch, and honestly, it helped us quickly identify where users were dropping off without needing to write custom tracking events all the time. It’s made our meetings more data-driven, though the interface can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming for new users.

Improved with time
Started using Heap about three years ago, and it’s definitely gotten smoother and more intuitive over time. The updates have made tracking and analyzing data easier, though I wish the onboarding for new features was a bit clearer.

Improved Over Time
Started using this tool about three years ago, and it’s definitely grown on me. The data tracking has become more intuitive and reliable, making it easier to get insights without jumping through hoops.

Great auto-capture analytics tool
Tried Mixpanel and Amplitude before settling on Heap, and what really stood out was Heap’s automatic data capture—it saved us a ton of setup time compared to the others. Mixpanel felt too manual, and Amplitude’s interface was a bit overwhelming for our small team. Heap’s user-friendly approach lets me dig into user behavior without constantly bugging our developers for event tracking. The only downside is that the reporting can occasionally lag when pulling complex queries, but overall it’s been a solid tool for our needs.

Does the job, kinda slow
Heap works okay for tracking stuff, but sometimes the data feels a bit off or delayed, which is annoying when you're trying to get quick insights. Setting it up wasn’t super smooth either, took me longer than I thought. Still, once it’s running, it does cover the basics pretty well. Just wish the UI was a bit more user-friendly and less clunky.

Finally tracked user behavior clearly
We were struggling to track user behavior across our app without drowning in data that was impossible to analyze. Heap made it way easier to automatically capture every interaction, so instead of guessing what users were doing, we could see clear paths and drop-off points. Setting it up was straightforward, and it saved our team hours that we used to spend manually tagging events. The one downside is the learning curve to get the most out of the deeper features, but overall it fixed a big headache for us.

Great for quick insights
I tried Mixpanel and Amplitude before settling on Heap, mostly because Heap’s automatic data capture saved me a ton of setup time. While Mixpanel felt more customizable, Heap’s ease of use and quick insights made a big difference for our small team. It’s not perfect—some reports can be a bit clunky—but overall it fit our needs better than the others.
