Decent but mixed setup

Getting started with Okta was a mixed bag for me. The initial onboarding was straightforward enough, and I had basic login flows up in about an hour, but some of the more advanced features took quite a bit of digging to figure out. Overall, not terrible but definitely a learning curve that slows things down.

Simplified Access Management

We were drowning in password resets and managing multiple logins across our apps was a nightmare. Okta helped us centralize access and cut down the IT tickets by a huge margin. Still, the initial setup was a bit confusing and took longer than expected.

Good but a bit pricey

Okta does what it promises, but the pricing feels a bit steep for smaller teams like mine. We’re getting decent ROI since it helped cut down on support tickets, but I keep wondering if there are cheaper options that’d work almost as well. The setup and integrations are smooth enough, but when you’re paying monthly per user, costs add up faster than expected. Overall, decent value but definitely not the cheapest choice out there.

Good value for the cost

Okta's pricing felt a bit steep at first, especially for a small team like ours, but the time saved on user management definitely made it worth it. The ROI showed itself pretty quickly when we avoided a few security headaches. Wish there were more flexible plans for startups though.

Solid SSO, Group Management Flaws

The single sign-on feature works great and really simplifies access across multiple apps for our team. However, the user interface for managing groups feels a bit clunky and could be more intuitive.

Single Sign-On Simplifies Access

The single sign-on feature really simplified access for our team, making it easy to jump between apps without constant logins. The multi-factor authentication is solid, but setting it up initially was a bit confusing.

Eases team login hassle

Our team of about 15 switched to Okta last year, and getting everyone on board was smoother than I expected. It definitely made logging into multiple systems easier, which helped our collaboration when juggling different tools.

Streamlined login for our team

Our team of about 15 switched over to Okta last year to manage access across multiple tools, and honestly, it made things smoother for everyone pretty quickly. Getting everyone on board took a couple of weeks since some folks weren’t too keen on changing their login habits, but once the initial hiccups were over, it really helped with collaboration and keeping things secure. The simplicity of having one login that works everywhere saved us a lot of time, especially during hectic project phases. I’d say it’s close to perfect, but the occasional glitch with multi-factor authentication can be frustrating.

Great for team logins

Our team of about 12 switched to Okta last year and it really smoothed out login headaches for everyone, though it took a couple of weeks to get all the older folks comfortable with it. The boss pushed hard on adoption, which helped, and now it's just part of the daily workflow.

Overcomplicated and clunky UI

I gave Okta a shot after using Auth0 and Azure AD, hoping it would simplify user management. Honestly, the setup felt more complicated than I expected, and the interface wasn’t as intuitive as Auth0’s. Azure AD offered smoother integration with our existing Microsoft tools, which made it a better fit overall. If you’re looking for something straightforward with solid Microsoft ecosystem support, Okta might feel a bit clunky in comparison.
