Quick and easy setup
Getting Screencastify up and running was surprisingly quick—I had it installed and ready to record within about 5 minutes. The onboarding steps were straightforward, with clear prompts that made it easy to understand what each feature does. I did stumble a bit figuring out some of the export options at first, but nothing too frustrating. Overall, it felt like a smooth experience with just a small learning curve to fully grasp all the settings.

Simple and effective screen recorder
I tried Loom and OBS Studio before settling on Screencastify, mainly because it’s way easier to use for quick recordings without fiddling with settings. What really sold me was how smoothly it integrates with Chrome, making it simple to record and share directly from the browser. The editing features aren’t super advanced, but they're enough for basic trimming and annotations, which is perfect for what I need. The only downside is sometimes the export quality drops a bit, but overall it’s reliable and straightforward.

Reliable and improving over time

I find Screencastify decent for basic screen recording, but the price feels a bit steep given the limited features unless you upgrade. Screencastify is super easy to use and I usually get my videos done way quicker than with other tools. Love that it saves everything right in Google Drive, so no messing around with files. Only thing is sometimes the recording lags a bit when I have too many tabs open, but it’s not a huge deal. Overall, it’s a solid tool for quick screen recordings without much hassle.
