Easy screen recording solution
Struggled to quickly record and share short tutorial videos for my team without complicated setups. Screencastify made it super simple to capture my screen and instantly share the videos, which saved me a ton of time explaining things over email.

Great for quick tutorials
The annotation tool makes it super easy to highlight key parts during recordings, which really helps my tutorials. The automatic saving is handy, but sometimes the upload speed could be faster.

Good recording, weak editing
The screen recording feature is straightforward and does what I need without much hassle. However, I found the editing tools pretty basic and sometimes clunky, which makes polishing videos a bit frustrating.

Good value for regular use
The pricing feels fair for what you get, especially if you record videos regularly. I found it saves me a ton of time compared to other tools, so it definitely pays for itself. For small teams or solo users, it’s definitely worth the investment.

Easy and straightforward screencasting
Compared Screencastify to Loom and OBS Studio, and this one won me over because it’s way easier to use without all the complicated settings. I liked how quickly I could record and share videos without fuss, though I wish there were more editing features built in.

Simple and effective screen recorder
Tried Loom and OBS Studio before, but Screencastify just felt way easier to use for quick edits and sharing. The browser integration makes recording super smooth, though sometimes the video quality dips a bit if your internet lags.

Great webcam capture, editing could improve
The webcam recording feature is exactly what we needed for quick video feedback, and it runs smoothly without lag. However, I wish the editing tools were a bit more robust for trimming clips directly within the app.

Good features but pricey plans
Screencastify offers a solid set of features, but the pricing feels a bit steep if you’re just using it occasionally. The free version is pretty limited, so to get any real use out of it, you need to jump to the paid plan. For small projects or casual use, it might not be worth the monthly cost, but if you’re creating videos regularly, it kinda pays for itself. I do wish they had more flexible pricing though, since the current setup feels like you’re paying for features you might not always need.

Great webcam feature, trimming needs work
The webcam overlay is exactly what we needed for making engaging tutorials, but the trimming tool could be a bit more intuitive.

Good value for reliable recording
For what I get out of Screencastify, the price feels fair. The free version is pretty limited, but once I switched to the paid plan, I found it saved me a lot of time when making tutorials and quick walkthroughs. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but the ease of use and reliability make it worth the cost in my experience. Definitely a solid investment if you need simple, straightforward screen recording without a steep learning curve.
