Great for quick team updates
Our team of about 10 started using Screencastify to quickly share updates and walk-throughs, and getting everyone on board was easier than I expected. It really helped cut down on back-and-forth emails, though sometimes the video quality drops a bit if the internet isn’t great. Overall, it’s become a solid part of how we collaborate daily.

Good value for videos
For what I use it for, Screencastify feels like a solid deal. The price is fair and I’ve definitely gotten more out of it than I expected, especially for quick video tutorials.

Easy but limited recording tool
I gave Screencastify a shot after trying Loom and OBS Studio. While I liked how easy it was to start recording quickly and the built-in editing tools, the video quality sometimes felt a bit off compared to Loom. Also, the free version’s limits were a bit frustrating, which made me consider switching back to OBS for more control.

Good value for productivity
Screencastify isn’t the cheapest option out there, but for what it offers, it feels like a smart investment. The ease of use and seamless integration with Chrome save me a lot of time, which more than makes up for the price. For small teams or individuals who need quick, reliable screen recording, it’s great value and really pays for itself in productivity gains. That said, if you only need occasional use, the monthly cost might feel a bit steep.

Simple and reliable screencasting
I usually tried Loom and OBS Studio before settling on Screencastify, and honestly, Screencastify won me over because it’s way simpler to use straight from the browser without any heavy installs. Loom was nice but sometimes sluggish, and OBS felt too complicated for quick recordings. Screencastify’s editing tools are basic but enough for what I need, and the direct Google Drive integration makes managing files easy. The only downside is occasional glitches with longer recordings, but overall it’s reliable and quick when I need to capture tutorials or presentations.

Easy Tutorial Recording Tool
Trying to quickly record and share tutorial videos for my remote team was a hassle until I started using Screencastify. The simple interface and easy sharing options saved me hours each week and helped everyone stay on the same page.

Easy annotation and export
The annotation tools during recording are exactly what I needed for quick explanations in my videos. It makes highlighting important points so much easier without having to edit afterward. The export options work smoothly, though I wish there were more flexible settings for video quality. Overall, it’s a solid tool that gets the job done with minimal hassle.

Good but a bit pricey
I find Screencastify to be decent for the price, but it feels a bit steep considering some features are locked behind higher tiers. For casual use or small projects, it's fine, but if you need more advanced editing or longer recordings regularly, it might not give the best bang for your buck. Still, it’s easy to use and integrates well with Chrome, which saves time.

Quick and Simple Setup
Getting Screencastify up and running was surprisingly quick—I had it installed and recording in about five minutes. The onboarding was straightforward, and there wasn’t much of a learning curve at all.

Eases quick video feedback
Our team was drowning in trying to quickly share feedback on video projects, and Screencastify made recording and sending clips way easier. I liked how simple it was to capture the screen and add voiceover right from the browser. That said, the editing options are pretty basic, and exporting videos sometimes felt clunky, which slowed me down occasionally.
