Easy and reliable recorder
Honestly, Screencastify makes recording super chill and easy. I like how it doesn’t mess with my computer’s speed much and the editing tools are simple enough to not stress over. Wish it had a bit more advanced features, but for quick stuff, it’s solid.

Great for team collaboration
Our team of about 12 started using Screencastify mainly to streamline feedback on projects and share quick updates without endless meetings. Getting everyone on board took a couple of reminders, but once they saw how easy it was to record and share videos, adoption really picked up. It’s made collaboration smoother, especially with remote teammates—being able to watch a quick screen recording instead of reading long emails saves a lot of time. The one downside is occasional glitches with recording length limits, but overall it’s been a helpful tool.

Great for team walkthroughs
Our team of about 12 started using Screencastify mainly for quick walkthroughs and bug explanations. Getting everyone to actually record instead of writing long emails took a couple weeks, but once they did, collaboration got way smoother. The only thing is sometimes the videos lag a bit on slower machines.

Solid and improving over time
Started using Screencastify about three years ago for work presentations and it’s definitely gotten smoother since then. The interface feels less clunky now, and exporting videos is way quicker than it used to be. One thing that still bugs me a bit is occasional lag during longer recordings, but overall it’s been reliable and super easy to use. Glad to see they actually listen to feedback and improve with each update.

Simple and reliable screen recorder
Honestly surprised how smooth Screencastify is for quick screen recordings. I usually mess around with it when I need to explain stuff to my team or record quick tutorials, and it never lets me down. The editing features are simple but enough for what I do, though sometimes exporting takes a bit longer than I'd like. All in all, a solid choice if you're not looking for anything too complicated.

Decent but limited features
I tried Screencastify after using Loom for a while, mainly because I wanted something that integrated better with my Chrome workflow. Screencastify is easy to use and good for quick recordings, but I found the editing features pretty basic compared to Clipchamp, which gave me more control. Also, the free version limits your video length more than I expected, which got annoying fast. Overall, it's decent if you just need simple screen captures, but I ended up switching back to Loom for its smoother interface and longer recording times.

Good for quick videos
Tried Loom and OBS before settling on Screencastify since it’s easier to use for quick clips, but the video quality sometimes feels off and exporting can be slow. Good for simple stuff, but not great if you want more control.

Simple and reliable screen recorder
I originally tried Loom and OBS, but Screencastify just felt way more straightforward for quick screen captures without a steep learning curve. The browser integration makes it super easy to jump right in, and I like that it automatically saves videos to Google Drive, which fits my workflow perfectly. The editing tools are basic but enough for light touch-ups, and the video quality is solid. The only thing I wish it had was more advanced annotation features, but for what I need daily, it’s been a reliable choice.

Simple and effective screen recorder
Switched from Loom and OBS to Screencastify for quick school projects, and it really nailed the ease of use and quick sharing. The video quality isn’t as sharp as OBS, but the simple editing tools and Chrome integration made it a better fit for my workflow.

Quick and Easy Setup
Setting up Screencastify was surprisingly quick and painless—I had it installed and ready to record in less than 10 minutes. The onboarding process guided me through the basics without feeling overwhelming, which helped me get comfortable with the tools right away. There was a slight learning curve with some of the editing features, but nothing too complicated to figure out with a bit of trial and error. Overall, I appreciated how straightforward the initial setup was and how it didn’t slow me down at all.
