Reliable but Needs Improvement
Started using Tenable about five years ago, and while the platform has definitely added new features over time, some of the core issues remain. The vulnerability scanning is solid, but the interface can feel clunky and occasionally slow, especially when managing larger environments. Support has improved somewhat, but I've run into delays that impacted critical patches. Overall, it does the job but feels like it needs a refresh to keep up with more user-friendly competitors.

Great scanning, dashboard needs work
The vulnerability scanning is thorough and really helps catch issues early, but I wish the reporting dashboard was a bit more intuitive to navigate.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Getting everything up and running was pretty straightforward, and the onboarding materials really helped smooth out the initial learning curve. It didn’t take long before I felt comfortable navigating the system.

Worth the investment overall
Tenable is definitely on the higher side price-wise, but in my experience, it’s worth the investment for the depth of vulnerability insights it offers. For a small security team like ours, it’s manageable and the features help us catch issues early, which saves money in the long run. The ROI shows up when you avoid costly breaches or downtime, so while it feels pricey upfront, it more than pays for itself over time.

Mixed feelings on adoption
Our team of about 8 started using Tenable last year after management pushed for better vulnerability tracking. Getting everyone on board took a while since some found the interface confusing, and collaboration features aren't as smooth as we'd like. Still, it helps catch some issues early, but overall adoption feels uneven across the group.

Worth the investment
Tenable is a bit on the expensive side, but the insights it provides have definitely helped us avoid costly security issues down the line. For the level of detail and control, I think it offers solid value, especially if your budget allows for prioritizing security. The ROI showed up pretty quickly after we started addressing vulnerabilities it flagged.

Mixed feelings after years
Started using Tenable around five years ago and have seen some definite improvements in the platform, especially with the newer UI updates. That said, stability can still be an issue at times, and some scans take longer than expected without clear reasons. Support has been hit or miss depending on the person you get, which can be frustrating during critical moments. Overall, it does the job for vulnerability management but doesn't feel as polished or reliable as I hoped after so long.

Great scanning, dashboard needs work
The vulnerability scanning is really thorough and catches issues I wouldn’t have spotted otherwise. The dashboard is clear but could be a bit more intuitive when setting up custom reports.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Getting Tenable up and running was smoother than I expected. The onboarding materials were clear, and I had the core system set up in just a couple of hours without any major hiccups. There was a bit of a learning curve when diving into some of the advanced features, but the basic functions are pretty straightforward. Overall, the initial setup felt efficient and well-supported.

Great for team vulnerability tracking
Our team of six started using Tenable to better track vulnerabilities across all our systems. Getting everyone up to speed was smoother than I expected, mostly because the interface is straightforward and the reports are easy to share during our weekly meetings. The only hiccup was some initial confusion over setting up automated scans, but once that's sorted, it really helps keep the whole group aligned on security priorities.
