Setup was a mixed bag

The initial setup was a bit confusing and took longer than I expected, mostly due to unclear instructions. Onboarding was decent once I got the hang of it, but there was definitely a learning curve that slowed me down at first.

Decent but clunky adoption

Our team of six was pushed to use Tenable by management, and while it’s decent for vulnerability scans, getting everyone to fully adopt it was a bit of a struggle. Collaboration features feel limited, so we often end up using other tools alongside it.

Great scanning, slow reports

The vulnerability scanning is spot on and really helps catch issues early. The reporting dashboard is clear, though sometimes slow to load when pulling large data sets.

Better clarity and usability

Tried Qualys and Rapid7 before, but Tenable's interface just felt more intuitive and the scan results were easier to digest. Only wish the pricing was a bit more transparent, but overall it sped up our vulnerability assessments quite a bit.

Made vulnerability tracking easier

Our team was drowning in unknown vulnerabilities across multiple environments, and Tenable helped us pinpoint exactly where the risks were so we could prioritize fixes quickly. It made our security audits way less stressful and saved a ton of time hunting down issues manually.

Effective scanning, decent reporting

The vulnerability scanning feature is exactly what we needed to keep track of security risks across our network. I also appreciate the reporting tool, which makes it easy to share findings with the team, though sometimes the interface feels a bit clunky to navigate.

Smooth team adoption for security

Our team of eight started using Tenable after our manager insisted we try it for vulnerability scanning. Getting everyone on board took a bit of time since some folks were used to different tools, but once we saw how it integrated with our workflows, adoption sped up. Collaboration improved because we could share clear reports and assign remediation tasks directly within the platform, which cut down on back-and-forth emails. Overall, it’s helped the team stay on top of security issues without much extra hassle.

Solid vulnerability scanning tool

The vulnerability scanning feature is exactly what we needed to keep on top of potential risks across our network. It’s thorough and the reports are easy to understand, which helps when explaining issues to non-technical folks. However, the dashboard could be more customizable to highlight the metrics we care about most, as it feels a bit generic at times.

Reliable and Improving Over Time

Started using Tenable about five years ago, and it’s come a long way since then. The interface has gotten much smoother, and the scan accuracy has improved noticeably, making my job easier over time. Still wish some of the reporting features were a bit more customizable, but overall it’s been solid for vulnerability management.

Helped Manage Vulnerabilities

Our team was drowning in trying to track down vulnerabilities across multiple cloud environments, which was a nightmare to manage manually. Tenable actually helped by consolidating all that info into one dashboard, making it way easier to spot critical issues quickly. That said, the user interface can be clunky and sometimes slow, which made digging into detailed reports frustrating. Overall, it helped solve a huge pain point, just wish it was a bit smoother to use.
