Worth the investment overall
Tenable is a bit on the expensive side, but in my experience, the insights it provides have saved us from costly security issues that would have been way worse. For a small to mid-sized team, it feels like a solid investment that pays off over time, especially when you consider the time it saves on vulnerability management. The pricing might be a hurdle if you're just starting out, but the ROI makes it worth considering seriously.

Solid vuln scanner
Tenable’s been solid for spotting vulnerabilities in our setup, and the interface isn’t a headache to use. Wish it was a bit faster with scans, but overall it’s been reliable.

Good Scanning, Clunky Dashboard
The vulnerability scanning feature is thorough and caught issues we didn’t expect, which was a big help. However, the reporting dashboard feels cluttered and not very intuitive, making it harder to quickly find the data I need.

Used to be better
Started using Tenable about five years ago when it was straightforward and actually helpful for vulnerability management. Over time, the platform has just gotten more bloated and confusing, with updates that seem to break more things than they fix. Customer support has become less responsive, and the pricing keeps going up without much in the way of added value. Honestly, it feels like they’re just milking existing customers rather than improving the product.

Mixed feelings on Tenable
Our team of about 10 was pushed to start using Tenable by management, and honestly getting everyone on board was kinda rough at first. Some folks found it helpful for vulnerability scans, but others thought it slowed down their workflow and wasn't that intuitive.

Efficient and clear vulnerability scans
I gave Tenable a shot after trying Nessus and Qualys, and for my setup, it just clicked better. Nessus had a steeper learning curve and felt a bit clunky, while Qualys was solid but felt overpriced for what we needed. Tenable stood out with smoother scanning and clearer reporting, making it easier to quickly spot real issues without digging too much. The one snag is that the interface can get a bit overwhelming with all the options, but overall it saved me a lot of time.

Solid scanning but clunky UI
I gave Tenable a shot after trying Qualys and Rapid7, mainly because it seemed to have a good balance between depth and usability. The vulnerability scanning is thorough, but I found the interface a bit clunky compared to Rapid7’s cleaner setup. I also felt the reporting features weren’t as flexible as Qualys, which was a bit frustrating when tailoring outputs for different teams. That said, Tenable’s asset discovery was solid, so I kept it around for that, even if the overall experience left a bit to be desired.

Great scanner, meh reports
The vulnerability scanner really spots issues fast, which saves me a ton of time. The reporting tool is decent but could use better customization options.

Solid tool for vulnerability checks
Our team of 8 started using Tenable last quarter, and getting everyone on board was smoother than I expected. It really helped us catch vulnerabilities early, but sometimes the scans slow down our network during peak hours.

Gets the job done
Tenable does the job for spotting vulnerabilities but the interface can be a bit clunky and not super intuitive. Would be nicer if it ran scans a little faster, but overall it's okay for what I need.
