Mixed feelings on collaboration

Our team of about 12 started using Confluence because the manager pushed for it, but getting everyone to actually use it consistently was a struggle. Collaboration improved a bit once folks got the hang of it, though some still prefer old-school emails or docs.

Solid choice for team docs

Switched from Notion and gave SharePoint a shot, but Confluence felt more natural for team documentation and tracking updates without extra setup hassles. It’s not the flashiest, but it just works well for keeping everyone on the same page.

Better fit for structured teams

I switched to Confluence after trying Notion and Google Docs for team collaboration, and honestly, Confluence just fits better with how our company structures projects. The integration with Jira and the way it handles permissions feels more robust and tailored for software teams, which made a big difference for us. Notion was more flexible but too open-ended, and Google Docs lacked the organization we needed for larger document sets. It’s not perfect—sometimes the interface feels a bit clunky—but overall it’s been a solid tool for keeping everyone on the same page.

Solid tool for team docs

Confluence makes it super easy to keep all our docs in one place, and the search actually works well which is a relief. Sometimes it feels a bit clunky when editing, but overall it’s been a solid help for team collab.

Slowing down and frustrating

After using Confluence for over five years, it feels like the platform has just gotten more complicated without fixing the slow loading issues. Features that used to be straightforward are now buried under confusing menus, and customer support hasn’t been helpful when things break. Honestly, I’m frustrated with how much effort it takes just to do basic documentation these days.

Centralized project docs easily

Our team was drowning in scattered documentation and version confusion, which made onboarding new members a headache. Confluence helped us centralize all our project notes and updates in one place, making it way easier to track changes and keep everyone on the same page. The search feature especially saved me time digging through old docs.

Good integration, but a bit clunky

We tried Notion and Asana for team documentation before settling on Confluence, mainly because it integrates nicely with Jira, which we use daily. The interface feels a bit clunky compared to Notion’s sleek design, and sometimes pages load slowly, which gets frustrating. However, Confluence’s permission settings and version control are solid, making collaboration more manageable than what we saw in Asana. Overall, it’s reliable but not the most user-friendly option out there.

Helped organize scattered info

Our team was drowning in scattered project notes and version confusion, and Confluence really helped us get a central spot to organize everything. It made tracking changes and sharing updates way easier, though sometimes it feels clunky and slow to load, especially with large pages.

Smooth setup with minor learning curve

Setting up Confluence was actually smoother than I expected. The onboarding guides were clear and helped me get the basics running in under an hour. There was a slight learning curve when customizing spaces, but nothing too overwhelming once I dug into the tutorials. Overall, a solid experience with just a few minor hiccups here and there.

Centralized our project info

Our team was drowning in scattered notes and updates across emails and chat apps, which made tracking progress a nightmare. Confluence helped us centralize all our project documentation in one place, making it way easier to keep everyone on the same page. The way it organizes content and links related pages saved us so much time digging for info. It’s not perfect—sometimes the editor feels a bit clunky—but overall it really cleared up our communication mess.
