Mixed feelings on Okta rollout

Our team of about 15 was pushed to switch to Okta by management last year. Getting everyone on board was kinda rough since some folks found it confusing, especially with the multi-factor stuff. It’s helped with keeping things secure, but not everyone feels it’s worth the extra hassle day-to-day.

Smooth setup with solid onboarding

Getting Okta up and running was straightforward, and the onboarding materials really helped flatten the learning curve. Took me a couple of hours to feel comfortable, but after that it was smooth sailing.

Gets the job done

Okta felt clunky to me

Tried Okta after using Auth0 and OneLogin, but honestly found it clunky and less intuitive. Auth0’s setup was way smoother and the support felt more responsive, which made a big difference for our team.

Smooth and straightforward setup

Getting everything set up with Okta was surprisingly smooth. The onboarding materials were clear, and I had most of it up and running within a couple of hours without much hassle. There's a bit of a learning curve if you're diving into advanced features, but the basics were straightforward enough to pick up quickly.

Better fit for our team

Switched from Auth0 and tried OneLogin before settling on Okta because its user interface felt more straightforward for our team, plus the integrations just worked better out of the box. The setup was mostly smooth, though sometimes the documentation left me hunting around for answers.

Smooth setup with minor learning curve

Getting Okta up and running was surprisingly smooth. The onboarding process guided me through most of the setup without much hassle, and I had it integrated within a few hours. There was a slight learning curve with some of the more advanced features, but overall it wasn’t too bad.

Simplified login management

Managing multiple employee logins across different apps was a nightmare for our small team, and Okta helped centralize access so we didn't have to reset passwords constantly. It definitely cut down the daily headaches but setting up some integrations was more complicated than I expected, which slowed us down a bit.

Solid and reliable auth
