Gets the job done, kinda
Okta does what I need for managing logins, but sometimes it feels a bit clunky and takes longer than I expect to set things up. The interface isn’t the most user-friendly, so there’s a bit of a learning curve if you’re not super tech-savvy. Still, once it’s running, it’s reliable enough for day-to-day use. Not amazing, but not terrible either.

Solid and reliable choice
Tried OneLogin and Azure AD first but Okta’s setup was way more straightforward and reliable for managing multiple apps. Feels more intuitive overall, though the pricing can be a bit steep for smaller teams.

Overcomplicated and frustrating
Tried both Auth0 and OneLogin before Okta, hoping it would be smoother but honestly it felt way more complicated and buggy. Setup was a pain and support wasn’t helpful when things broke. Auth0 felt more intuitive for our dev team, and OneLogin had better integrations in my experience.

Solid choice for user management
Switched from OneLogin after running into some integration hiccups, and Okta just felt smoother to set up with our apps. Compared it to Auth0 too, but Okta’s user management features made it easier for our team to handle permissions without constant admin help.

Mixed feelings on setup
Getting Okta up and running was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The initial onboarding was straightforward enough, and I had some basic functions working within a couple hours. However, diving deeper into the more advanced features felt like hitting a wall with unclear documentation and a steeper learning curve than I expected. I definitely spent more time troubleshooting than I wanted to, but once set up, it’s been stable so far.

Smooth onboarding and setup
Getting Okta up and running was surprisingly smooth. The onboarding guides were clear enough that I didn’t have to spend hours digging through docs, and I had the main features configured within a couple of hours. There was a bit of a learning curve around customizing policies, but overall the setup process felt manageable and straightforward. Definitely saved time compared to other identity platforms I’ve tried.

Simplified Access Management
Our team was drowning in password resets and managing access across multiple apps was a nightmare. Okta helped us centralize authentication and drastically cut down on support tickets related to login issues. It’s not perfect, sometimes the setup can be a bit tricky, but overall it solved a huge headache for us.

Solid Identity Management Choice
We initially tried OneLogin but found Okta's user interface much cleaner and easier to navigate, especially when setting up multi-factor authentication. Compared to Azure AD, Okta felt more intuitive for managing a diverse set of apps without constant troubleshooting. The only hiccup was occasional delays syncing user permissions, which was a bit frustrating during onboarding. Overall, it struck the right balance between power and simplicity for our team.

Smooth and straightforward setup
Getting Okta up and running was surprisingly smooth. The initial setup took me about an hour, which included configuring user directories and setting up single sign-on, and the onboarding resources were really helpful without being overwhelming. There was a slight learning curve around policies and permissions, but nothing that slowed me down too much. Overall, it was easy enough that I didn’t have to bug support, which is always a win.

Simplifies team access
Our team of about 15 switched over last year, and once everyone got past the initial setup hurdles, it really streamlined how we manage logins and access. Collaboration got easier since we could all rely on one system without juggling multiple passwords.
