Decent, but a bit clunky

Okta works fine for managing logins and stuff, nothing super fancy but it gets the basics done. Setting it up took a bit longer than I expected, and sometimes the interface feels a bit clunky. Definitely reliable though, and it helps keep things secure without much hassle. Just wish it was a bit smoother overall.

Reliable and improving over time

After using Okta for over five years, I've seen it improve a lot, especially in ease of use and integration capabilities. It’s become much more reliable and flexible, which really helps with managing access across different systems in my company. While there are occasional hiccups, overall it’s been a solid tool that keeps getting better with each update.

Mixed feelings on Okta adoption

Our team of about 15 was pushed to adopt Okta last year when the whole department switched over. Getting everyone on board was a bit rocky since some folks found the user interface confusing at first, especially with multi-factor authentication steps. On the upside, once set up, it really helped simplify access across multiple apps, which saved time in the long run. That said, occasional glitches and slow support responses have been frustrating at times.

Good value despite price

Simplified Our Access Management

Our team was drowning in password reset requests and managing access for so many apps was a nightmare. Okta helped us centralize everything with single sign-on, which seriously cut down the time spent on IT support. Setting it up had a bit of a learning curve and some quirks with certain legacy apps, but overall it's made life way easier when it comes to managing user permissions across the board.

SSO works well, UI could improve

The single sign-on feature really streamlines access for our team and cuts down on password headaches, which is exactly what we needed. However, the user interface for managing devices feels a bit clunky and unintuitive, making it harder to onboard new users without a lot of trial and error. Also, the documentation could be clearer, especially around some of the more advanced security settings. Overall, it's functional but there's room for improvement in ease of use.

Good SSO, frustrating MFA setup

The single sign-on feature worked well initially and made logging into multiple apps much easier for the team. However, the multi-factor authentication setup was a nightmare to configure and kept locking users out unexpectedly, which caused a lot of frustration. Support was slow to respond and didn’t offer clear solutions, making the overall experience really frustrating.

Solved password chaos but clunky setup

Our team was drowning in password management chaos, especially with remote workers constantly locked out or needing resets. Okta helped by centralizing access and made single sign-on actually work across most of our key apps, which cut down support tickets a lot. That said, setting up some integrations was more complicated than expected and the interface isn't super intuitive, so it took a while before everyone felt comfortable using it.

Reliable and Getting Better

Decent but tricky setup

Getting started with Okta was a bit of a mixed bag. The initial onboarding was straightforward enough, and I had the basics up in about an hour, but diving deeper into some of the more complex configurations quickly became confusing without clear documentation. Overall, it worked but definitely required a good chunk of trial and error.
