Decent but kinda pricey

The pricing feels a bit steep for what you get, especially when you're just starting out. It works well enough but I expected a bit more features at this price point. Still, it’s decent value if you really need simple chat support without too many bells and whistles.

Helped with website inquiries

We were drowning in missed website inquiries and slow response times, which cost us potential leads. Olark helped by allowing us to instantly chat with visitors and answer questions in real-time, which definitely boosted our engagement. That said, the reporting features aren't very detailed and sometimes the chat widget felt a bit laggy during peak hours. Overall, it helped solve a big pain point but there's room to improve.

Great chat, needs better reports

The chat widget customization is exactly what we needed to match our site’s branding without much hassle. I also really appreciate how the real-time visitor monitoring lets me jump into conversations at just the right moment. That said, the reporting feature feels a bit limited and could use more detailed insights to help track performance better.

Simple and reliable chat

Reliable and Improving Chat Tool

Been with Olark for about three years now, and I’ve definitely seen it improve. The chat interface feels smoother and more intuitive than when I first started, which makes managing multiple conversations easier. I appreciate how their reporting features have gotten more detailed over time, helping me track customer inquiries better. The only downside is that some customization options still feel a bit limited compared to newer competitors.

Solid but showing age

Started using Olark about five years ago and have seen some useful updates, especially the improved reporting features. Automated triggers fall flat

The chat interface is simple and does what it promises, but the automated triggers are a total mess. Setting up rules was confusing and unreliable, so it ended up annoying both me and my customers more than helping. Definitely not what I expected for the price.
